JULIA JESTER

Julia Jester trained and competed at The Susan Ina Dance Studio, where she began assistant teaching and choreographing in high school. Julia also choreographed musical productions "The King and I," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," & "The Sound of Music" for the Seton Keough High School theatre department.
She has trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York City and Millennium Dance Complex, EDGE, Playground LA, and Movement Lifestyle in Los Angeles.
Julia won the 2013 regional Young Choreographer of the Year award at American Dance Awards, as well as choreography awards at Starpower 2020, Groove 2021, Nexstar 2023, Showbiz 2024, and Starquest 2026. She is an alumna of Georgetown University, where she danced and choreographed for its premier hip hop team, Groove Theory. Her PDC pieces have earned Top 3 placements in the solo, duo, and group divisions at both the intermediate and elite levels at regionals and nationals. Her students have gone on to dance professionally in LA and NYC, as well as with professional companies.
In addition to choreographing for PDC, she also manages its website + social media presence and acquires talent for master classes and guest choreography. Julia is a journalist and is honored to have choreographed with her sister for the incredible dancers at PDC, helping them grow into beautiful artists and human beings.
