2024-2025 AUDITION INFO
Can’t make it to auditions? Fill out the below audition form and indicate your audition availability in the comments section. We encourage all prospective dancers to also email past performance videos to powerupdance@gmail.com to get a sense of stage experience. Dancers should arrive 15-20 minutes before their age slot to warm up. Wear ALL BLACK attire, pull hair back neatly, + bring proper shoes for lyrical, contemporary, jazz + tap genres. (Hip hop can be demonstrated during improv, but formal auditions for hip hop will be conducted later in the season).
AUDITION ASSESSMENT FEE: $20 audition fee (payable via cash, check, credit card or Venmo @powerupdance prior to audition slot)

5:15-6:15p | Age 8 & Under

+ SUMMER INTENSIVE / mini mOtivate = August 12-16
ALL returning + new Company members must attend our summer intensive as part of our season’s group/genre casting process.

PowerUp Dance Company is our elite performance company + competition team. Company members are required to take classes in a diverse set of genres + attend rehearsals each week for their casted pieces.
Our award-winning competitive team trains with renowned guest artists, performs at various competitions + concerts throughout the season, and receives rigorous, holistic dance training.

#TeamPDCo members compete in 3 mandatory regionals (including one convention) and one national finals each season, with the opportunity to attend The Dance Awards if they qualify. We encourage dancers to attend extra conventions and competitions if interested. Company members + parents are given the opportunity to participate in various fundraisers to offset costs. PDCo members may also be invited to additional performance opportunities throughout the year.

Being a Company member provides fun, formative experiences — but it is not a commitment to be taken lightly. PDCo dancers are representatives of PowerUp Dance Center both on + off the stage. Though it is a competitive team, the company atmosphere is supportive + encouraging for all dancers.
Dancers who train at performing arts high schools or other non-competitive studios are welcome to audition for PDCo!
